PATTA Collaborations
with Nike and Converse

In 2022, Patta was releasing a third “wave” of a highly successful collaboration with Nike. This round was particularly special because it coincided with a 2-day mentorship exchange at Nike’s SHAPA Soweto community center in the south of Johannesburg which intended to aid the “next wave” of creatives and musicians, photographers and fashion designers.
We helped to cast ambassadors from Brooklyn and Johannesburg to lend not only their face but their creative force and personal style to the campaign. Upon finalizing casting, we worked with each talent to define their setting and shoot day. We spent significant time with each in their workshops / studios / neighborhoods.
The resulting product was an international campaign with dozens of press hits and a community in Soweto who was able to connect with our protagonists and Shaniqwa Jarvis who led a photography workshop during the exchange.
At the end of the year, Converse joined the party and announced a collaboration with Patta featuring the One Star Pro and a limited apparel question starring Erykah Badu. The team traveled to Dallas, Texas on December 30 to pay a visit to Erykah at home. We spent the day capturing images of her, self-styled in the collaboration shot by Shaniqwa. The campaign has an accompanying video shot, directed, and edited by Raj Debah.
